Q2) Who is coming in Christ's name and deceiving many believers? 

A) "...Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many." (Mat. 24:4-5)

Is our Lord teaching many will come deceiving many by saying they are the Christ? Or is He saying many will come in His name and deceive many? I've been saved for thirty-four years and I've never met someone saying they are the Christ that is deceiving many believers. Yet, there are teachers today saying Jesus is the Christ while at the same time deceiving many. (Luke 21:8) In this interview Larry King asks Catholic priest Larry Manning if one does not believe in Jesus will they go to hell? [8. Catholics Don't Believe Jesus Only, T. 0:01-0:42] This popular theologian confidently replied they won't. Manning affirms the Roman Catholic Church believes Jesus is the source of salvation. He confesses Jesus as God. In the same breath he says a rabbi can obtain salvation without believing in Christ. (Gal. 1:6) He assures his audience it's not the job of God to cast people into hell. (Mat. 10:28) Such rejection of the gospel is a doctrine of demons. (Acts 4:12) This priest is proclaiming Jesus as the Christ while deceiving many!
