"Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2 Thes. 2:4)

During the Great Tribulation God will empower a great multitude of saints in their victory over the Beast (Rev. 7:9-14; 15:2). There will also be saints overcome by the Beast (Rev. 13:7). Those overcome be blotted out of the Book of Life for eternity (Rev. 3:5).
